Be the star of the show! We will have over 150 artists participating, many of whom have been a part of the festival in the past. The application for 2024 is open through March 31, 2024. Click the button below for info.
Advertise your business! For a $500 donation, your business name will be chalked above one of the pieces of art and photographed by thousands of attendees. There are also a limited number of 3-D chalk drawings which can be sponsored for a $1000 tax-deductible donation. A great way to be a visible support of the arts!
The Golden Triangle Creative District is our new home!
Specifically, we are two blocks south of Civic Center Park with cross streets of 12th & Bannock being the nearest intersection. Looking for a landmark? We are near the Denver Art Museum, Kirkland Museum, Clyfford Still Museum, Evans School and Leven Deli.
These are the pros. The OGs. Those who have been crafting their chalk art mastery for decades. We are pleased to have five featured artists who will WOW you with their pieces that are awe-inspiring and worth of framing - if only we could fit the street into a frame.
The Denver Chalk Art Festival and CherryArts have collaborated previously on outreach programs and in recent years the partnership took it up a notch. CherryArts has taken a bigger role to continue supporting the Denver Chalk Art Festival, in its new home in the Golden Triangle district. CherryArts exists to provide access to art experiences and support arts education in Colorado. See more about CherryArts online.
Area schools and youth groups get the chance to compete for cash prizes that will go to their respective school or Youth Group's visual arts departments. This is truly a unique way to show school spirit, team build, and fundraise for school arts programs.
The Denver Chalk Art Festival started in 2003, historically occurring during June on the streets of Larimer Square. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Festival took place in driveways and on sidewalks around Denver.
In 2021, the tradition returned with dozens of artists creating temporary chalk artworks at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, where event-goers could enjoy both festivals together.
In 2022, the Festival found a new home on the streets of the Golden Triangle. We can't think of a better place to bring art to life in Denver!
Various levels of partnership exist and allow the festival to operate. And just like our artists, we enjoy being creative so why not start a conversation with us?
Small businesses and individuals can support with a tax-deductible donation at the $500 "Square Sponsor" level by clicking HERE.
The artist application for the 2024 Denver Chalk Art Festival is open through March 31, 2024.
